Artists in Society: Not Valued as Greatly as Their Art

Individual research shows that "27 percent of Americans believe that artists actually contribute a lot to society" and another poll concluded that '"96% said they were greatly inspired by various kinds of art and highly value art in their lives and communities." Even though these artists put a lot of hours into their projects and hope to acquire prestige not only through their works but by they themselves, the economy today is so heavily shifted to people's right brain creativity that their personal aptitudes are often overlooked or disordained and dismissed.

With a Paddle

Fraternity paddles symbolize morals with art on them and thus brings people together with a common understanding and respect for it, as well as expanding the art culture in itself within these social groups. I bought mine for 70.00 with all the decorations so I know that they mean a lot to the big brother and the little brother.

Scenery of Hawaii

Hawaii Trip 6/28/09'-7/6/09'
North Shore House and Early Morning Shark Diving

I really took the time to enjoy these japanese and hawaiian style furniture at our north shore house for a week...It makes the room seem more peaceful and chill than any other furnished houses i've seen in the past, which made settling in quite pleasing as well. The picture of mountains from the north shore illustrate how volcanoes are prevalent features of Hawaii's unique and organic landscapes.

Homecoming Parade

Oh, the Art of Homecoming Floats

Do you believe that this float is a pretty unique and artsy shaggin wagon? I mean, its shaggy, but the time spent on these floats and the money for the materials is enough to make it turn heads as a serious team art project...I happened to be in the 2nd picture for TKE, Pi Kappa Phi, and Tri-Delta.

The Game Twister as a Form of Art

Could Twister be an Art Game? Like Sculptures by Michaelangelo?
I think this could be a fun way to express oneself in one's artistic creativity, in one's total body flexibility, and even finger and toe dexterity. I had a fun night with Ashley, Lee and Friends...

My Photographic Eye

My Photographic Eye

My photographic eye tends to relate to nature, things being of natural essence, or of the supernatural. I like to include B&W photos to present a sort of uniqueness to the underlying deeper meanings to the photos that the two tone colors bring out. I also like to have a lot of green and light colors in pics to further concentrate the meaning of peoples expressions as "light and wholehearted."

Thrashers Hockey Game

Thrashers vs. Flyers
Whats funny about the shape of this stick and how my dad and his girlfriend are rival hockey fans? The stick is much more flexible...Matt Hainsey created art just by the dynamic superflexibily of his stick when he made this shot on the Flyers. We ended up shutting out the Philadelphia Flyers as well as make my dad's girlfriend mad about her team's loss...haha it was great watching the two fights as well on the ice and winning one of them.
