Artists in Society: Not Valued as Greatly as Their Art

Individual research shows that "27 percent of Americans believe that artists actually contribute a lot to society" and another poll concluded that '"96% said they were greatly inspired by various kinds of art and highly value art in their lives and communities." Even though these artists put a lot of hours into their projects and hope to acquire prestige not only through their works but by they themselves, the economy today is so heavily shifted to people's right brain creativity that their personal aptitudes are often overlooked or disordained and dismissed.
